Overview
CK Architectural continues to grow through ever increasing technical quality, innovative design and exceptional client service standards. We are enjoying being in our 12th year of business thriving on recommendation from businesses, homeowners and builders. Our long serving team enjoy regular development meetings, personal/career progression and regular social outings.
We are looking for a Senior Designer or Architect with passion and UK experience for design, building and architecture. You will meet potential and current clients across all project stages inception to completion. We like people who can lead a team, work in a team or working alone.
You will work on the full architectural process, providing designs and ideas in line with the brief, considering budgets, seeing through the design processes, planning, building regulations and working drawings. Seeing buildings through to completion via contract administration (project management), in which you’ll be working with the client and builder.
Based in Leeds the role will comprise of office working days, days out on site meetings (Yorkshire/neighbouring regions) and some flexibility for home working. We do however have a traditional approach valuing social team building studio working, in our main offices and via our larger UK network on Teams.

Primary Role
- Attend initial meetings, provide advice, take the brief, and explain our services.
- Take a detailed measured survey suitable for accurate drawing.
- Produce design drawings and liaise with the conclude the design.
- Prepare plans/documents for planning, building regulations, tender or construction.
- Lead Projects, raise tasks for the support team and at times assist other team members.
- Maintain a good relationship with clients before during and after the project.
- Solve issues where possible and keep the client in a happy opinion of CKA.
- Work with the company to improve services wherever possible.
- Attend company meetings, suggest, and implement improvements.
- Deliver construction project by way of project management.
Secondary Roles
- Aid, assist and develop other employees.
- Assist building a professional network.
- Writing for our local websites and social media.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum UK experience: 10 years
- Fully proficient in AutoCAD
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office packages
- Deep understanding of planning policies
- UK Building regulations knowledge
- Project management (not essential)
