Blueprint Architectural Design Ltd provides tailored architectural services to meet the unique requirements of each client, across both commercial and residential projects. The team produces high-quality drawings and 3D visualisations for developments, extensions, and a wide variety of property types. They support clients through the full project lifecycle, from initial design to planning and building regulation applications, coordinating with structural engineers and other specialists as needed. In-house SAP assessors ensure that all necessary energy and compliance assessments are completed before work begins on site. The company is known for its responsive support, close client collaboration throughout the build journey, and strong positive feedback on Google.
Senior Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist
Raunds, Northamptonshire | Full-time, Permanent | Attractive salary package
We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist to join our busy, friendly practice on the outskirts of Raunds. We work on a varied range of projects, including residential extensions, bespoke new homes, housing developments, and small commercial projects.

This is a hands-on senior role, primarily producing high-quality Building Regulations and construction drawing packages, while also managing and supporting our team of technicians.
The Role
- Produce detailed construction and Building Regulations drawing packages.
- Manage and support our technical team.
- Mentor trainee and junior members of staff.
- Check working drawing packages prior to issue.
- Assist with scheme and planning drawings when required.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
- Proven experience producing detailed working/construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT.
- Good construction detailing and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience checking technical drawing packages.
- The confidence to manage and mentor other technicians.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Experience of CDM/Principal Designer duties would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Hours & Location
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- This is an office-based role in Raunds, Northamptonshire. Our office is in a rural location accessed via a single-track road, so applicants must drive and have access to their own vehicle. Free parking is provided.
