Role Description

This is a full-time role and central to our in-house Architectural discipline located in our offices in Stoke on Trent. As a Senior member of one of our technical teams, your role will predominantly be to provide technical support to one of our Directors; occasionally assisting with surveys, feasibility and scheme design (i.e., RIBA work stages 0-3 incl) but principally developing stage 3 designs through the preparation of working drawings, details, specifications and schedules and job running/contract administration to ensure a cohesive and seamless design evolution and delivery (i.e., through RIBA work stages 4-7 incl). This is a hybrid role, with the majority of work being undertaken in our offices, but also allowing for flexibility to work remotely in compliance with our hybrid working policy. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
