Senior Architectural Technologist

Cardiff - Hybrid/Flexible

We’re partnering with a well-established, forward thinking architectural practice as they continue to grow their Cardiff team. They’re looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist with Healthcare project experience, confident in job running, technical delivery and leading projects while supporting junior colleagues.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of complex projects from technical design through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams.

  • Running multiple projects, including large-scale schemes (£20m+)
  • Leading technical delivery and developing detailed design proposals
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
  • Producing and managing technical/production information
  • Preparing detailed specifications (including NBS)
  • Creating GA drawings, technical details and design information
  • Managing workloads, programmes and resources
  • Mentoring junior team members
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and professional requirements
  • Monitoring project fees and financial performance
  • Building strong client relationships and supporting new work opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical background with proven experience delivering complex projects
  • Significant experience as a Senior Architectural Technologist
  • Healthcare sector experience
  • Confident running projects from technical design through to completion
  • Experience delivering large-scale schemes (£20m+)
  • Excellent Revit capability
  • Strong knowledge of construction, detailing and technical design
  • Skilled in producing specifications and technical information
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous mentoring or team leadership experience
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Experience in Education, Technology or Innovation sectors
  • Knowledge of NBS Chorus and Dynamo scripting
