MUST HAVE EXPERTISE IN: Arista AVD (Arista Validated Designs), network automation framework, VXLAN, EVPN, BGP, Cisco Nexus, Data Centre.
We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer with CCIE-level expertise to support a major transformation of a client's EMEA data centre network estate. This is a hands-on contract role focused on migrating legacy Cisco infrastructure to a modern Arista environment.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering large-scale network migrations, providing technical leadership throughout the project while working closely with engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition.

What you'll be doing:
- Leading Cisco-to-Arista data centre migration activities
- Designing and implementing scalable Arista network fabrics
- Working with EVPN/VXLAN, routing, switching and data centre networking technologies
- Using Arista CloudVision, CVaaS and AVD to automate deployments and manage configurations
- Converting network configurations into AVD YAML and supporting GitOps-based deployment pipelines
- Producing technical documentation and mentoring internal engineering teams throughout the migration

What we're looking for:
- CCIE-level knowledge of enterprise data centre networking (certification preferred but not essential)
- Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus, NX-OS, vPC and large-scale Cisco environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, AVD and EVPN/VXLAN
- Proven background delivering Cisco-to-Arista migration projects
- Experience with network automation, GitOps or CI/CD pipelines would be highly desirable
- Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, Palo Alto firewalls and F5/NetScaler technologies would be advantageous
