Job Title: Senior Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Birmingham
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Senior Asbestos Surveyor to join their team in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asbestos professional looking to take the next step in their career within a respected and growing consultancy. The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering high-quality asbestos surveys across a varied portfolio of properties throughout Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
The position would suit an established Senior Asbestos Surveyor or an experienced surveyor ready to take on greater responsibility, while benefiting from strong technical support and genuine opportunities for further career progression.

The Role
- Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
- Conducting bulk sampling across a variety of property types
- Producing accurate, detailed, and compliant asbestos survey reports
- Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential, and public sector properties
- Managing your own diary and workload effectively
- Taking responsibility for larger and more technically demanding surveying projects
- Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and site representatives
- Providing technical guidance and support to less experienced members of the team where required
- Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures

About You
- BOHS P402 qualification (essential)
- Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor
- Excellent knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation
- Experience undertaking complex Management and R and D surveys
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Excellent report-writing and organizational abilities
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable, and technically focused approach to work
