We are looking for talented Senior Strategic Asset Management professionals with residential experience to join our Asset Strategy team in key leadership roles.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of housing across Leicester. Working within our Asset Strategy team, you will lead and support the acquisition, disposal and strategic management of residential assets that help deliver the Council's housing, regeneration and growth ambitions.
You will work on a diverse range of residential property matters, from individual homes and apartment blocks to development and regeneration opportunities, helping to maximise social value and make the best use of public assets.
Working alongside senior officers, elected members, housing colleagues, developers and external partners, you will influence major decisions that directly impact residents and neighbourhoods across the city.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
