Location:
This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation that some time will be spent at the team’s operational site, based at our Swillington Alliance Office. Our current Head Office is in Bradford; however, we will be relocating to Leeds Valley Park in late 2026, so occasional travel to this location may also be required.
Work type:
Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Asset Planning Sponsor to join the Wastewater Service Delivery Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in!
As our Asset Planning Senior Sponsor you will lead the team of Asset Planning Sponsors to provide safe, reliable and affordable Wastewater network assets to deliver obligations within the AMP, optimised for Capex and Opex, operational and asset risk.
- Develop and lead the team of Asset Planning Sponsors to manage asset risks to meet the needs of the AMP business plan.
- Support the team in managing the Concept and Definition phase programmes of work and relationships with contract partners.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
- Knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and processes with previous experience in an operational and / or strategic leadership role in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.
- Knowledge and experience of Wastewater assets.
- Financial awareness of the AMP plan.
- Clear understanding of the position and role of Wastewater Asset Planning as well as individual role in delivering company risk management plans.
- Experience in carrying out detailed investigations into performance shortfalls on Wastewater assets.
- Experienced in developing and maintaining key internal and external relationships.

If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a Third-Party Company, prior to commencing employment.
