What You Will Get To Do

  • Support delivery of the Council’s Corporate Asset Strategy and associated action plans, ensuring property decisions align with service needs, community priorities and wider corporate objectives.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of strategic property projects, bringing together multiple stakeholders to drive delivery and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a rolling property review programme to routinely assess whether assets remain fit for purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with current and future service needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve utilisation of the Council’s property portfolio, including developing options appraisals to support evidence-based decision making.
  • Coordinate the Council's Community Asset Transfer programme, supporting community organisations through the transfer process and ensuring consistency with Council policy.
  • Support the development, implementation and review of property policies, processes, guidance and procedures that support the Council's strategic priorities and objectives, helping to ensure a consistent, effective and corporate approach to asset management.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external enquiries regarding the use of Council assets, including engagement with Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and other public sector partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Council services to understand operational need, signpost property related issues and support informed decision making.
  • Represent the service at internal and external meetings, developing strong working relationships with partners, stakeholders and community organisations, presenting reports where necessary.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
