Senior Assistant Buyer

Join the Linzi Buying Team

This is an exciting time to join the buying team at Linzi Shoes. As we continue to grow across our online platforms and expand our partnerships with leading third-party retailers, we're looking for an ambitious and proactive Assistant Buyer ready to take the next step in their career and help drive the next stage of our success.

Working closely with the Buyer, you'll play a key role in delivering a balanced, commercial product range that reflects the latest trends while meeting the needs of the Linzi customer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys building strong supplier relationships, and is looking to develop their buying career within a growing fashion business.

What You'll Be Doing

Product & Buying

  • Support the Buyer in developing a commercial and balanced footwear range for the Linzi customer.
  • Manage and maintain the seasonal critical path, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Oversee the sample process, ensuring all samples are tracked, organised and available in line with key meetings and launch dates.
  • Maintain and update internal order systems, buying reports and product catalogues with accuracy.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timelines are met and any issues are communicated and resolved quickly.
  • Monitor production progress and work proactively with suppliers to minimise delays and keep deliveries on track.

Communication

  • Build effective working relationships across the business and with external suppliers.
  • Support regular buying meetings, helping to communicate priorities, actions and key updates.
  • Respond promptly to product queries from internal departments, providing accurate information where required.
  • Work closely with the Merchandising team to ensure delivery dates are achieved and orders are managed effectively.
  • Liaise with franchise and third-party retail partners, ensuring communication is maintained and key information is shared with the wider buying team.

Teamwork

  • Support the Buyer in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Help manage the workload of the Buying Assistant, ensuring priorities are clear and deadlines are met.
  • Deputise for the Buyer when required, confidently managing day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Take an active role in your own learning and development, continuously building your buying knowledge and commercial awareness.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about fashion and footwear, commercially minded, and excited by working in a fast-moving retail business.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience within a Buying or Assistant Buying role, ideally in fashion, footwear or accessories.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an eye for product and emerging trends.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier and internal relationships.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
  • Good analytical ability with confidence using Microsoft Excel and buying systems.
