Job Description
The Role
As a Senior Assistant Buyer within Miss Selfridge, you'll play a key role in delivering trend-led, commercially successful ranges that excite our customer and drive business performance. Working closely with your Buyer and cross-functional partners, you'll use your commercial awareness, product expertise and customer insight to influence key decisions, identify opportunities for growth and support the development of junior talent.
The Details
- Taking ownership of key product categories within Miss Selfridge, driving performance through a strong understanding of customer, trend and trade.
- Partnering with the Buyer to shape and deliver a commercially successful range strategy.
- Leading the selection and sign-off of product ranges, balancing customer insight, trend relevance and commercial performance.
- Owning weekly trade analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and making recommendations to improve department performance.
- Deputising for the Buyer when required, presenting trade performance and product strategy to key stakeholders.
- Building strong supplier relationships and leading negotiations around cost prices, delivery schedules and product improvements.
- Coaching and developing Buyers Administrators, role modelling ASOS behaviours and supporting future talent.
- Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Qualifications
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer or Senior Assistant Buyer within Womenswear.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience using trade performance to drive decision-making.
- Passionate about fashion, trends and understanding the Miss Selfridge customer.
- Proven ability to balance customer, trend and commercial priorities when building ranges.
- Confident influencing stakeholders and presenting recommendations.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience coaching and developing junior team members.
- Demonstrates the ASOS values of Authentic, Brave, Creative and Disciplined.
