Senior Assistant Physiologist - Cardio-Respiratory Department
An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and supportive teams as a Senior Assistant Physiologist within the Cardio-Respiratory Department at Queen’s Hospital Burton (QHB) and the Clinical Measurement Department at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH).
This role is ideal for someone with extensive previous experience and a broad depth of practical skill and knowledge of a range of non-invasive Cardiac diagnostics investigations. Building on your training and competencies you will work to help the CRM physiologist team by providing support with home monitoring systems including analysis of implantable loop recorders and administration duties plus assisting with exercise tolerance testing, MUSE and HUTT testing.
Services are primarily delivered from QHB & RDH and with additional clinics based at our Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) such as Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital.

Working with adults and paediatrics in a range of in and out patient settings performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostics as well as supporting the Clinical Physiologists makes up the majority of the role.
Analysis is also a key component as well as training and assessing staff from around the Trust in 12 lead ECG recording.
You will be required to help with any administration duties as required within Cardiology services.
Applicants will be expected to study and sit the Award in Electrocardiography within the first 6 months of appointment. Eighteen months experience working as an Assistant Physiologist is vital.
