Exciting Opportunity for an Assistant Clinical Psychologist

An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Assistant Clinical psychologist to join our dynamic psychological services team within the Ealing community team for people with learning disabilities (CTPLD).

About Ealing CTPLD

Ealing CTPLD is a multidisciplinary community team with a focus on family centred outcomes and wider systemic change. We have a strong interest in helping to influence the lives of people with learning disabilities through PBS, systemic and narrative ways of working.

Role Overview

  • Opportunity for joint working alongside a range of professionals to deliver holistic support to people with learning disabilities, their families and carers.
  • Excellent opportunities for experience and personal development as there are four qualified psychologists within the team.
  • We would prefer candidates who can demonstrate knowledge, experience and an interest in supporting people with learning disability.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Full time fixed term (12 months)
  • Responsibilities:
    • To undertake protocol based psychological assessments of clients referred to the Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD).
    • To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client's problems, in both community and residential settings.
    • To assist in the co-ordination and running of therapeutic groups and engage in 1:1 therapeutic direct and indirect psychological interventions.
    • To provide administrative support to ensure the day to day functioning of the psychological services team within CTPLD.
    • To contribute to the development, evaluation and monitoring of the team's operational policies and services, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit.
    • To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Supervision: The candidate will work under the supervision of a qualified practitioner psychologist, in accordance with professional practice guidelines.
