We are supporting a global infrastructure investor in appointing a Senior Associate to its international business team in London.

This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across a global portfolio of substantial infrastructure businesses spanning energy, utilities and other essential infrastructure sectors. You will work within a lean, highly experienced team, you will support the oversight of a large group of portfolio companies across multiple international markets. You will work closely with senior colleagues and engage directly with CEOs, CFOs and other executives within the portfolio businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Board and Committee papers, identifying the principal financial, operational and strategic considerations.
  • Monitor portfolio-company performance against budgets, forecasts and acquisition assumptions.
  • Review annual budgets and five-year business plans, challenging key assumptions where appropriate.
  • Support the preparation of monthly Executive Committee papers and quarterly regional portfolio reviews.
  • Analyse financial statements, EBITDA performance, operational KPIs and wider market developments.
  • Produce clear, concise summaries and recommendations from complex financial and operational information.
  • Build relationships with senior management teams across the international portfolio.

Experience:

  • Experience within infrastructure asset management, portfolio management, infrastructure investment, corporate finance, transaction services or a similarly analytical environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and a sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Comfortable reviewing and interrogating financial models, although extensive model-building experience is not essential.
  • Able to analyse detailed Board papers and financial information before communicating the key points clearly.
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders across different businesses and geographies.
  • An understanding of infrastructure, energy or utilities.
