Real Estate Associate / Senior Associate sought for a highly regarded Birmingham law firm.
The Opportunity
Spirehouse is working with a highly regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Real Estate Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Development & Stock Portfolio team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded Real Estate Solicitor looking to work on high-quality, complex property transactions within an established and supportive team. The role offers excellent exposure to large-scale development work, acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio transactions of large scale housing portfolios.
The Role
You will work alongside an established team of 5 Partners and 8 fee earners, handling a varied caseload including property development, site acquisitions, large-scale acquisitions and disposals, stock portfolio transactions, title investigations, due diligence, development agreements, and overage arrangements.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and work with a range of clients on substantial, high-value property matters.
Affordable housing experience is not essential. Strong Real Estate experience, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex transactions with minimal supervision are key.
The Requirements
- Qualified Real Estate Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level
- Ideally 3+ years' PQE or equivalent experience
- Strong commercial property experience
- Development experience preferred
- Experience handling large-scale acquisitions, disposals, or portfolio transactions
- Strong technical knowledge of title and property matters
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercially aware with a practical approach
- Able to manage transactions with minimal supervision
- Organised, proactive, and driven
- Strong client and communication skills
