About the job
The Life Sciences sales team is hiring a Senior Associate Account Executive to work on a Global and Platinum account headquartered in the UK. Together with the Global Account Manager, you will partner on developing key opportunities and turning them into success stories.
The role involves a proven understanding of business challenges, presenting SAS solutions, and assisting our customer in shaping their data and AI strategies and modernizing their solutions. The focus will be on driving growth in the account by leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones. This position offers a chance for a junior sales professional to learn from industry leaders and make a lasting impact by turning complex challenges into meaningful solutions.
The role will be based in the UK (London or Marlow) with hybrid working model and may require traveling as per business needs.
As a Senior Associate Account Executive – Life Sciences you will
- Sell software, solutions and services; work with other sales/pre-sales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within the assigned territory.
- Prospect within a territory or account to uncover business needs.
- Implement aspects of territory and account management and development; identify opportunities with high "close" potential, qualify, advance opportunity through milestone steps of sales cycle and forecast time frames to close business within Orion.
- Work closely with pre-sales resources and executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.
- Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
- Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.
- Develop a basic understanding of company pricing, licensing procedures and approvals matrix.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required/Preferred qualifications
- A first experience of 2-3 years in selling complex SaaS software solutions or IT services to both business and IT stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in account mapping and in navigating complex ecosystem.
- Ability to work and learn independently; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to travel occasionally; ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume sales environment.
- Knowledge of SaaS solution sales ideally with an awareness of data analytics and AI trends.
- Fluent in English.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
