An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the National Accounting and Audit (NAA), Operations Centre of Excellence. If you are structured, quality focused and adept at problem solving with a desire for continuous improvement, including for your own personal development, you may be a great fit. Senior Associates within the NAA Operations Centre of Excellence can work across multiple and varied analytical and administrative tasks. This team provides support to the Audit and Assurance Business helping to make sure we meet our regulatory requirements whilst delivering excellent client service and adhering to the highest level of quality standards. This will involve working within defined processes and developing a strong understanding of the fundamental requirements of a regulated or compliance focused business.

All successful applicants will be required to adhere to enhanced compliance standards and may be required to sign confidentiality agreements on joining.

As a Senior Associate in our NAA Operations Centre of Excellence, you will be a role model who is showing the potential to grow into a subject matter expert, able to support others across the Centre of Excellence and a trusted advisor to the NAA/ A&A business.

In your role you will have the opportunity to work across multiple and varied analytical, reporting and administrative tasks. You will work with other team members to provide service excellence to the Audit and Assurance business helping to make sure we meet our regulatory requirements whilst adhering to the highest level of quality standards. You will develop a strong understanding of the fundamental requirements of a regulated or compliance-focused business as well as the key tools and principles of Audit and Assurance work.

In this role you may be involved in producing, analysing and updating reports, conducting research, maintaining data sources or responding to queries from colleagues within the Audit and Assurance business. You will deliver service excellence through the quality of your work, be good at prioritising tasks, able to spot potential risks. Experience of working in a regulated working environment prior to this one is preferable. You will be able to interpret numerical data and have experience of using Microsoft office programmes to a competent level, especially in Excel and Power BI. You will likely already be a proficient user of simple AI tools too.

Successful applicants should be self-motivated, adaptable, quick to learn and with strong interpersonal and communication skills in person and over email. As a senior Associate you will be a point of contact and support for junior Associates in your pod and in time become a subject matter expert in your field of work able to answer complex queries by the business or the wider team and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work and others in your team. You will have the opportunity to coach and mentor other team members to ensure your pod delivers what the business needs.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office programmes, specifically (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Previous experience of using AI Tools is an advantage
  • Able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and manage own workload to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving
  • Diligent, conscientious and with a strong attention to detail
  • A strong level of numeracy and previous experience of data creation and analysis. The ability to produce, review and analyse numerical data to spot trends and anomalies will be important
  • Intermediate data-entry and reporting skills (proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a distinct advantage)
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in person and in writing
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with multiple stakeholders of different grades
  • Willingness to learn and adapt, being a role model in the adoption of new processes and procedures
  • Able to navigate and respond to complex requests and engage the right team members to build the correct solution
  • Committed to working in a fast paced environment where contributing to maintaining a diverse, inclusive and welcoming environment, where team members are recognised for their contribution
