Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join RBC Wealth Management Europe (WME) as Business Risk Analyst in our dedicated Consumer Duty & Product Governance Team. At the heart of our efforts to evidence that our clients receive good outcomes, you will lead the quarterly analysis of Consumer Duty metrics, produce management reports, streamline reporting processes to drive efficiency, and lead ad-hoc pieces of analysis.
RBC WME is a leading provider of wealth management, specialising in helping clients (including individuals, charities, and pension funds) protect and grow their wealth. Our services encompass discretionary investment management, financial planning, and banking and credit solutions.
The Consumer Duty & Product Governance Team and the wider WME Business Risk function bridge business goals with risk governance discipline, providing oversight, constructive challenge, and enablement across WME business domains. You will bring an analytical mindset, data proficiency, innovation, and passion to drive robust risk culture and advance digital-enabled efficiency through the latest technology and AI.
This is a permanent, full-time role (5 days - 35 hours per week) and requires a minimum of 4 days working from our London office.
What will you do?
Risk Capability & Data Analysis
- Undertake data-driven analysis to support day-to-day identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks.
- Prepare presentations and data analysis for risk committees, reviews, and initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing innovative processes, procedures, and controls.
- Drive innovation to improve efficiency, consistency, and productivity.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests and maintain comprehensive procedural documentation to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to elevate collective performance for client and RBC success.
- Build trust across WME business domains and provide consultancy across risk management activities.
- Demonstrate RBC Values (Client First, Integrity, Collaboration, Respect, and Excellence) in daily behaviours.
Consumer Duty Reporting
- Coordinate with data and action owners to produce seamless, accurate and timely Consumer Duty Management Information.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, maintain, and agree Consumer Duty reporting standards.
- Support the embedding of Consumer Duty principles across the business, offering guidance and support to strengthen our governance framework.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Proven experience in reporting and producing management information with strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in financial services, preferably wealth management, Consumer Duty reporting or risk management.
- Solid understanding of risk awareness and mitigation.
- Strong data, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate creative solutions from information.
- Strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with Consumer Duty and regulatory responsibilities.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to synthesise diverse perspectives with a business orientation to leverage technology for improved client experience, process simplification, increased capacity, or cost reduction.
