Senior Associate

Corporate

Surrey

6+ PQE

I'm currently working with a highly regarded UK and international law firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to its established Corporate team in the Surrey area.

This is a particularly strong opportunity for a corporate lawyer who enjoys working with high-growth businesses, founders, investors, and innovative companies.

The team has a strong track record across M&A, venture capital, private company fundraising, spin-outs, and wider corporate advisory work, with notable expertise in the technology and life sciences sectors and in supporting businesses from early-stage investment through to exit.

The successful candidate will take a leading role on transactions, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents
  • Managing deals from instruction through to completion
  • Advising clients on ongoing company law and governance matters
  • Working closely with clients, investors, and other advisers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

There will also be the opportunity to supervise junior lawyers and play an active role in the team's business development initiatives.

One of the real attractions of this position is the level of visibility and responsibility available. The successful candidate will work closely with the partnership, have direct client exposure, and be encouraged to develop their own profile and relationships as they progress towards the next stage of their career.

The wider firm combines a substantial UK presence with an international footprint across Europe and Asia, while its Surrey office forms an important part of its South East offering.
