Private Equity Senior Associate – 4–8 PQE – Top-Tier Global Law Firm

The Role
You will join a market-leading Private Equity group advising a dynamic client base, including leading financial sponsors, alternative asset managers, and infrastructure investors. The team advises across all phases of the private equity lifecycle, offering full-service support through complex global transactions. Work encompasses:

- Large-cap buyouts, growth equity transactions, and minority stakes
- Public-to-private deals, structured equity products, and joint ventures
- Strategic exits through trade sales, IPOs, and dual-track processes
- Portfolio company matters such as bolt-on acquisitions, refinancing, and restructuring
This is a front-line role with early responsibility: you will run key workstreams on major transactions, manage client engagements, supervise more junior lawyers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams regularly. Deals often involve multi-jurisdictional components and innovative structuring, demanding both attention to detail and commercial agility.
What They’re Looking For
- 4–8 PQE with strong private equity transactional experience
- Qualified in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
- Current or recent experience at a leading international or highly regarded City firm
- Confidence in drafting and negotiating SPAs, investment agreements, and JV documentation
- Strong understanding of complex deal structures and cross-border elements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills
- Proven ability to lead workstreams and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
