Senior Associate – Employment

Location: London

Salary: £105,000 - £135,000

We are working with a highly regarded law firm seeking an ambitious Senior Associate or Legal Director with 5+ years' PQE to join its established Employment team, working predominantly with senior executive clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to help develop and grow a specialist Senior Executive practice over the longer term, working alongside experienced partners in the field, with genuine scope for progression towards partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising senior executives, partners, founders, and C-suite individuals on appointment and exit matters, including service agreements, settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, and equity or incentive arrangements.
  • Supporting senior individuals through disciplinary, whistleblowing, grievance, and regulatory investigations, including related remuneration matters.
  • Handling negotiations with employers and their advisers, working collaboratively with colleagues across tax, incentives, corporate, disputes, and regulatory teams where appropriate.
  • Working as part of a team on complex, high-value tribunal and High Court litigation, alongside some employer-side advisory work.
  • Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives as part of the firm's strategy to further develop its Senior Executive practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
