Senior Associate - Energy and Sustainability

Description
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join our UK team to focus on the developments in the energy market.
The Role
- Advising developers, landlords and operators on the procurement, negotiation and management of heat networks (including concessions, supply agreements, outsourced services and ongoing regulatory compliance)
- Advising on energy projects, including solar, wind and battery storage
- Advising on large scale retrofit programmes (including grant funded, 'Energy as a Service' and subscription models)
- Support on regulatory issues relating to electricity (generation, distribution and supply) and heat networks
- Advising on utility connections including ICP and IDNO arrangements
- Advising on Power Purchase Agreements and Heat Supply Agreements etc
- Advising on EV Chargepoints and related infrastructure
- Active participation in marketing initiatives aimed at the energy sector
- Building and maintaining effective client relationships

The Candidate
The firm has a Career Development Framework which sets out the competencies we expect of those at the Senior Associate grade. In particular for this role we require:
- Candidates with 4 years' relevant post qualification experience gained from a reputable firm or in-house
- Experience on regulatory issues relating to utilities. Experience of energy projects and heat networks
- Excellent technical skills
- Strong client focus
- Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to deal with innovative structures and bespoke documents
- Drive and enthusiasm
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent academic record
