About The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Associate to grow and develop our Family team in our Bath office alongside a Partner in the team. The Family team are highly regarded with recognition in both Chambers and Legal 500. They are active members of Resolution on a regional and National basis and have a strong presence across the Southwest and beyond.
You will be helping to build the Bath family offering, picking up current casefiles and further developing business. Joining a busy and ambitious team, there are clear opportunities for career progression and professional development with the aim being Partnership in the short term future.

Day to day, you will have a varied caseload, including:
- A variety of privately funded work, in particular finances on divorce, children matters, and assisting unmarried couples
- Run your own busy caseload with the support of the team, supervising and developing juniors
- Plan and engage in targeted business development activities to obtain new clients for the Family team
Whilst this role is based in Bath there will be the opportunity for you to work with other fee earners based at our other offices.
About You
We’re extremely proud of the relationship we’ve built with our clients and referrers, being recognised as their trusted legal partner. It’s important to us that you have the right blend of skills to service their needs and develop new relationships:
- Demonstrable expertise in financial remedy matters and private children law, with the ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Confident in developing and growing your own practice with a strong track record of business development in own area of specialism
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- A team player, whose personal ambition is expressed through team achievement
- Law Degree or equivalent qualification
