Selion Global
Selion Global is a partner-led retained executive search and leadership advisory firm working at board and chief executive level. Every mandate is led personally by a partner.
The Senior Associate supports clients on executive and board appointments internationally, working directly with the leadership of the firm across senior mandates.
This is not an Executive Assistant role, nor a research-only position. The work sits between partner, client, candidate and market.
The role
You will help carry mandates from their opening conversation through to completion: preparing client updates and briefing materials, developing market and candidate perspectives, drafting correspondence, coordinating each stage of an engagement and making sure commitments are followed through.
You will be in regular contact with chairs, chief executives and senior candidates across markets, alongside the partner leading the mandate. Much of that contact will be yours to handle.
Judgement matters. So does service. At this level, service is anticipatory: preferences are remembered, pressure is absorbed, loose ends are closed and the people you support are spared the machinery behind the work. Excellence is experienced through the consistency of small things handled properly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Market intelligence is integral to the role. You will build a rigorous, independent view of a market, drawing on networks, research and AI-enabled tools with equal fluency. What matters is the quality of the judgement drawn from the information and how usefully it is presented.
Materials leaving the firm under our name should be accurate, thoughtful and ready to send. Confidentiality is assumed from the outset.
Who we are looking for
Experience in retained executive search is useful rather than required.
You will have spent your career close to principals, partners or senior clients, in a setting where discretion mattered and the standard of every document and exchange was part of the service. Your background may be in professional services, consulting, a specialist advisory practice, a leading business school or executive education, or the most demanding end of luxury hospitality.
You will have worked with international clients or within an international firm and be comfortable communicating with senior executives across Asia and Europe, and globally. Your written English is exceptional.
Digital fluency is part of professional fluency here. You use AI and modern tools thoughtfully across research, communication, coordination and knowledge management, learn unfamiliar platforms quickly and remain alert to better ways of working.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You are resourceful. When something is unfamiliar, you find a way through it.
Above all, you take ownership of the outcome. You notice what is missing, anticipate what will be needed and follow matters through without waiting to be asked. You are comfortable operating with a high degree of trust.
Where you are based
The role is fully remote. We are less concerned with where you sit than with the hours you keep. The work runs across European and Asian time zones, and you will need reasonable overlap with both inside your own working day.
