About the Role
Our client, based in the Middle East and a global top-10 sovereign wealth fund, is looking to hire an investment professional into its TMT team, with a dedicated focus on the global hardware & semiconductor sub-vertical.
Requirements
- Experience: 7/8 years + of experience within a top-tier Investment Banking institution (M&A or TMT group preferably)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic record; CFA or MBA is a plus but not required
- Technical Skills:
- Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills
- Intellectual curiosity regarding semiconductors, hardware, emerging technologies, and global geopolitical shifts
- Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

- Perform deep-dive fundamental research and sector mapping across the TMT landscape (mainly semiconductors and hardware)
- Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment returns, including LBO, DCF, and merger consequences
- Manage the end-to-end due diligence process, coordinating with external legal, financial, and technical advisors
- Draft high-quality investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee (IC)
- Monitor the financial and operational performance of existing TMT assets
- Work closely with management teams on strategic initiatives, including bolt-on acquisitions, capital restructuring, and exit planning
- Synthesize market trends to provide proactive risk assessments of the portfolio
