An excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded and growing London law firm with a strong reputation across the insurance, cyber, and technology markets.
The firm's Data & Cyber practice is expanding and works with a sophisticated client base on complex and high-value matters. The team combines specialist cyber expertise with deep insurance knowledge, providing lawyers with exposure to a broad range of work across cyber incidents, insurance coverage, technology, data protection, and disputes.
This is an opportunity to work closely with leading Partners on challenging matters, gain significant client exposure, and play an active role in a growing practice.
The Team
The Data & Cyber team advises insurers, insureds, brokers, and major corporates on the legal and insurance implications of cyber incidents and technology-related risks.
The work covers the full lifecycle of a cyber event, from immediate breach response and ransomware incidents through to insurance notification, coverage strategy, regulatory engagement, claims, and dispute resolution.
The team also continues to expand its work with corporates outside the traditional insurance market, providing advice on cyber preparedness, incident response, remediation, and data-related issues.
The Role
The successful Associate or Senior Associate will work alongside Partners on a varied caseload involving cyber and technology insurance, coverage, and incident response.

A key part of the role will involve advising insurers and insureds on cyber insurance policies, coverage positions, and claims strategy, including complex and high-value multi-insurer matters.
You will also have exposure to cyber incident response, ransomware and cyber-extortion matters, regulatory issues, data protection, and technology-related disputes.
The role involves direct client contact and working closely with brokers, forensic specialists, incident response providers, and other advisers. At Senior Associate level, there will also be opportunities to take responsibility for matters and supervise junior lawyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising insurers, insureds, and brokers on cyber insurance coverage, policy interpretation, and claims strategy.
- Working on complex and high-value cyber claims, including multi-insurer matters and allocation issues.
- Advising on technology, cyber, and professional liability coverage, including technology E&O exposures.
- Supporting clients through cyber incidents, including ransomware and cyber-extortion matters.
- Advising on regulatory implications of cyber incidents, including ICO engagement.
- Supporting technology and data-related claims and disputes, including ADR, mediation, and litigation where appropriate.
- Advising on data subject and third-party claims arising from cyber incidents.
- Working with data protection specialists on issues including DSARs and international data transfers.
- Managing relationships with clients, brokers, technical specialists, and other advisers.
- Supervising junior lawyers and taking greater responsibility for matters at Senior Associate level.

What They're Looking For
The firm is keen to hear from lawyers with experience across cyber, technology, insurance coverage, data, or related disputes.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in cyber breach response, insurance coverage, and/or cyber or technology claims.
- Experience advising on cyber insurance policies and coverage issues.
- Exposure to complex, high-value, or multi-insurer claims is advantageous.
- An understanding of cyber incident response and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
- Experience of technology and data-related claims or disputes, with ADR, litigation, or arbitration experience beneficial.
