Overview

The Investment Funds franchise is part of the Digital & Securities Markets (DSM) of the London Stock Exchange, supporting the primary issuance, capital raising and listing of Investment Companies and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs).

For over a century and a half, London Stock Exchange has enabled asset managers to list closed-ended funds (investment companies) and access deep pools of capital from institutional and retail investors investing via London’s public markets. Our market is home to over 290 investment companies, representing over £277bn in assets under management. Listed investment companies democratise investor access to a variety of actively managed portfolios of listed or quoted equities, as well as alternative asset classes such as infrastructure, private credit, private equity, and growth capital.

Since the listing of the first Exchange Traded Fund in 2000, the London Stock Exchange has grown into one of Europe's leading ETP listing and trading venues. Today, the Exchange is home to nearly 3,000 ETPs with over £2tn in assets under management (AUM).

Role Profile

The Senior Associate will sit within the Investment Funds team in London, supporting the delivery of the team's strategic and commercial objectives across Investment Companies and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs).

We are seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded individual with a demonstrated passion for capital markets and understanding of investment funds. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business development activities, building relationships with asset managers, advisers and other market participants, and promoting the benefits of listing on the London Stock Exchange.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills, a proactive approach to business development, and the willingness to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to prospective issuers and their advisers on listing considerations including routes to market, listing requirements and ongoing obligations.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective issuers, identifying, qualifying and converting new listing opportunities to drive growth across the Exchange's investment fund franchise.
  • Drive the onboarding of new clients by collaborating with internal teams, including compliance, operations, and admissions to ensure a customer-centric and efficient listing process.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of domestic and international roadshows, including prospecting, preparation of marketing materials and follow-up.
  • Represent the London Stock Exchange at industry events, promoting the Exchange as a leading capital raising venue for asset managers, and building relationships with key market participants.
  • Prepare briefing materials for senior collaborators in support of events and industry engagements.
  • Maintain and regularly update presentations and other collateral, ensuring they accurately reflect recent market developments, product innovations and industry trends.
  • Support the planning and delivery of industry events, including coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Contribute to reports for senior management, providing analysis of listing and capital raising activity, and key market engagement activities.
  • Own the production of monthly market updates on key fund transactions and capital raising activity.
  • Prepare briefing materials and speeches in support of events and industry engagements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
