The Role

As a Senior Associate in our Outsourced Finance team, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality financial services to our clients. Working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will support the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Your role will involve collaborating with both onshore and offshore teams, assisting in various financial processes, and contributing to the maintenance of strong client relationships. If you are detail-oriented, possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping and VAT regulations, and are eager to develop your career in a supportive team setting, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of management accounts, collaborating with offshore partners as necessary.
  • Support the allocation of tasks within the team and provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing queries and providing timely solutions.
  • Participate in cash flow forecasting projects, offering insights to aid in financial planning.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • A professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and Excel; experience with tools such as Dext, Silverfin, or Syft is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact confidently with clients and team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based).
  • Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
