Job Description & Summary

Senior Associate – People in Deals (PiD)

People in Deals (PiD) is a market leading team sitting within PwC’s M&A Operations Deals business, advising both corporate and private equity clients across the M&A (merger & acquisitions) cycle, including integration, and with longer term transformation. Our clients include some of the most well-known brands and businesses, who understand that putting people at the heart of any M&A activity is critical to achieving deal value.

Our PiD team assists clients with the operational aspects of a transaction relating to the workforce to identify key risks and opportunities, including but not limited to:

  • HR & People Separation
  • Employee relations & consultation
  • Culture, Comms & Change
  • TOM (Target Operating Model) & Org Design
  • Reward separation & harmonisation
  • Talent management and skills agenda
  • HR Function design

What you will do:

As a Senior Associate in the PiD team, you’ll be at the heart of our delivery on some of the most complex and high-profile transactions in the market. You will work closely with colleagues on delivery of client engagements, supporting key workstreams. Drawing on your people expertise, you’ll help organisations navigate critical workforce challenges across the deal lifecycle — from planning and execution to integration and transformation.

You’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performing team where you will take ownership of deliverables, provide expertise on workforce-related issues, liaise with clients, and act as a coach and mentor to more junior colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
