Senior Private Client Solicitor or Senior Associate / STEP Practitioner

ALS are retained by a well-established and highly respected regional law firm to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor / STEP Practitioner as part of its continued growth.

The firm has built a strong reputation, known for delivering high-quality legal advice through a practical, client-focused approach. It is particularly well regarded for its Private Client and property work and acts for a loyal and discerning client base, including high net worth individuals.

The firm is based on a modern location in Central London.

  • Probate & Estate Administration
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Court of Protection

This is a senior opportunity for a qualified and experienced STEP Private Client Practitioner to take a leading role in the development of the firm’s Private Client offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising high net worth clients on wills, trusts, inheritance tax, estate planning, and succession planning
  • Taking a lead role in developing and mentoring members of the Private Client team
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
  • Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the department
  • Working with senior leadership to help shape culture, standards, and strategic direction

The Candidate

My client is seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor with the experience and confidence to take ownership of a practice area and contribute at a leadership level.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A strong track record advising clients, including high net worth individuals, on complex Private Client matters
  • A strategic, commercially aware and client-focused mindset
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and develop others
  • Resilience and adaptability within a growing practice
  • STEP qualification
  • A minimum of 6 years’ PQE
