Senior Associate Solicitor

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Solicitor to join Talbots as a Senior Associate within our growing Corporate & Commercial Team, based from our Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Worcester or Stoke office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer with 5+ years' PQE to take a leading role in a well-established and highly regarded team, advising a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, directors and shareholders. You'll work on a broad range of high-quality corporate and commercial matters, from business sales, mergers and acquisitions, and company restructures through to complex commercial contracts and strategic business advisory work.
We're looking for a driven, personable and commercially aware professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships and helping businesses achieve their goals. In return, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers on rewarding, high-value matters while playing a key role in the continued growth of the department.

What does the job involve?
- Managing a varied caseload of corporate and commercial matters, delivering practical, commercially focused advice and outstanding client service.
- Advising limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, directors and shareholders on a broad range of business matters.
- Collaborating with experienced colleagues on complex and high-value transactions.
- Playing an active role in business development, networking and strengthening relationships with clients and referrers.
- Supporting the growth and continued success of the Corporate & Commercial Team.
What do you need?
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE as a Solicitor within a Corporate & Commercial team, managing your own caseload across a variety of matters.
- Technical experience across both corporate transactions and commercial agreements.
- Excellent client relationship and business development skills, with a commercial approach to delivering legal advice.
- Desire to supervise and develop junior members of the team including Paralegals and trainee’s and junior Lawyers.
- High attention to detail with strong planning and organisational abilities.
- Confidence managing competing priorities and working to deadlines.
- A proactive, motivated and collaborative approach with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service.
