About Charles River Associates

Charles River Associates (CRA) is a leading global consulting firm that provides economic, financial, and business management expertise to major law firms, corporations, and governments worldwide. CRA advises clients on economic and financial matters pertaining to litigation and regulatory proceedings, guiding corporations through critical business strategy and performance-related issues. Since 1965, clients have engaged CRA for its combination of industry experience and rigorous, fact-based analysis, delivering clear, implementable solutions to complex business concerns.

Job Overview

CRA’s Life Sciences practice helps pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device companies achieve optimum performance across key business areas—including innovation, commercial success, organisation, and reputation—for the long-term benefit of patients, clinicians, employees, and shareholders. We collaborate with life sciences businesses directly, along with their legal counsel, industry associations, government organisations, and advocacy groups, supporting their ventures from early-stage research in new therapy areas, through product development, to the delivery of commercially successful solutions that fulfil client and stakeholder expectations.

As a Senior Associate at CRA, you will work on project teams with senior and junior consultants across industries. Your role involves:

  • Conducting advanced strategic analysis
  • Managing the execution of consulting projects
  • Serving as a project manager, directing work, overseeing analysis, and engaging with mid-level clients
  • Communicating project results effectively

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
