Senior Associate / Partner - Civil Litigation

Location: Swansea
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Level: Senior Associate / Partner
Working Pattern: Full Time

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate or Partner-level Civil Litigator to join an established and successful department in Swansea. This is a particularly attractive role for someone who is looking for more than simply managing their own caseload. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the continued development and growth of an existing civil litigation department, working alongside an established team and helping shape its future direction. Importantly, you do not need to bring a following or an existing client book. The firm already has an established client base and a strong platform from which to grow.

The Role

You will handle a varied and interesting civil litigation caseload while taking an active role in developing the department and supporting its continued success. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a broad and varied caseload of civil litigation matters.
  • Providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Handling matters from initial instruction through to resolution, including litigation and advocacy where appropriate.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.
  • Identifying opportunities to develop the department and expand its service offering.
  • Playing a visible role in the continued growth and profile of the Swansea office.
  • Contributing to business development and networking activity, with support from the wider firm.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
