Your Role: Senior Audience Insight Executive

As a Senior Audience Insight Executive at Global, you’ll support the delivery of brand and audience insight across Global, helping our Programming and Producer teams to make the best radio and podcasts they can. You’ll work closely with Global programmers to help improve and better understand our radio stations and podcasts, and with the Marketing team to evaluate and improve the campaigns that support our brands. You’ll also support our Strategy and Senior Programming teams to help shape our products of the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Insight delivery (35%)
    Support the delivery and tracking of insight requests, providing clear, concise and relevant outputs to internal stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Storytelling and communication (25%)
    Communicate insights and data in a simple and engaging way to a range of audiences, including programmers, producers, marketing and strategy teams.
  • Audience and performance analysis (20%)
    Use RAJAR and digital listening data to understand our audiences’ behaviour, track performance and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Questionnaire design and research (20%)
    Create impactful questionnaires using appropriate software, unlocking insights for senior stakeholders and presenting results in a compelling and concise way.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Become familiar with key insight tools, data sources and processes.
  • Supported the delivery and tracking of insight requests across the business.
  • Started to build strong relationships with Programming, Marketing and Strategy teams.
  • Begun participating in proactive insight discussions with stakeholders.
  • Developed confidence in communicating insight findings and recommendations.

What You’ll Need

  • Communication and presentation skills
    Ability to explain data and insight clearly to different audiences.
  • Data confidence
    Experience working with data and turning findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Stakeholder management
    Ability to build effective working relationships and manage multiple requests and priorities.
  • Organisation and accuracy
    Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and a focus on data quality.
  • Insight and media experience
    Experience in brand/audience insight, analytics, research, media, marketing or a data-led environment, ideally in a research agency or media research role.
  • Questionnaire design
    Ability to craft your own research questionnaires using questionnaire-writing software and present results clearly.
  • Collaborative mindset
    A proactive, team-focused approach with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for content
    A love of radio and podcasts.
