Senior AV Electronics Repair Technician
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Uxbridge area
Working pattern: On-site technical role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior AV Electronics Repair Technician to join a busy technical operation in the Uxbridge area.
This is a senior, hands-on repair position working with professional audio visual and electronic equipment. Previous technical repair experience within the AV industry is highly desirable, particularly involving professional sound, video, lighting, broadcast or production equipment.
The successful candidate will remain actively involved in diagnosis and repair work while also taking greater responsibility for repair standards, technical problem solving, and the smooth progression of work through the workshop.
The role
You will diagnose faults, carry out technical repairs, and help ensure professional equipment is returned to service safely and reliably.
Alongside your own hands-on repair work, you will help oversee the quality of completed repairs, maintain accurate service and maintenance records, and make sure repair activity is appropriately documented.
You will also liaise with suppliers regarding parts and repairs, help identify recurring equipment issues, and support appropriate maintenance and warranty processes.
The position may involve providing practical guidance to another technician, so you should be comfortable sharing technical knowledge and helping colleagues resolve more difficult problems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
