Role: Senior AV Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours:

Shift pattern based upon a 40hr working week between the hours of 08:00 & 19:00 ensuring coverage throughout the period, some flexibility may, on occasion, be required

Location: London, UK

Salary: £45,000 - £50,500 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

We have an exciting new client; a company that is globally renowned operating within the luxury consumer market, and this brand new role, working on their impressive site will be providing dedicated support services to many facets of newly installed AV technology across their prestigious UK headquarters.

The team will be working closely with the existing service support channels, including facilities and IT support; a model which they’ll look to implement as their new standard across their global estate.

The team will provide support to several high-profile and key spaces, as well as meeting room and event support. This is in addition to daily function tests of the priority spaces, and ad-hoc, pro-active AV maintenance, problem solving and upgrade work.

As a Kinly AV Senior Technician within the client team, you will be expected to support the requirements of the company by providing support of AV & VC equipment across the client site, leading and taking responsibility for 2nd and 3rd line technical faults, triage and escalating to the relevant service desk.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the primary escalation point, and point of contact for the client
  • Expected to lead and set the standard for supporting the client and the AV around the site
  • Work with multiple established support service lines within the customer environment and a best-in-class customer experience
  • Ensure all AV technologies are tested regularly and maintained to the highest standards, updating documentation accordingly
  • Generate monthly reports for the Service Delivery Manager
  • Liaise with Kinly’s Health and Safety Officer to ensure RAMS are kept up to date
  • Liaise with internal, external clients, vendors, venue account managers and project managers to successfully deliver events

Skills and experience:

We are seeking a highly proactive individual with strong, demonstrable experience of AV/VC technologies as applied in corporate settings.

The ideal candidate would ideally hold industry-recognized qualifications, although extensive practical experience would be a considered alternative, and will be motivated to expand their knowledge through training.

Presenting oneself professionally and be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with stakeholders is essential, coupled with a positive attitude.

This person should readily take responsibility for system ownership and upkeep while consistently seek to surpass expectations.

Proficiency in administration, computer technology, PC applications, and networking is a must.

Experience supporting large multinational companies within the AV industry is required - Working knowledge of Cisco, Poly, Crestron and other leading AV technologies is a must and ideally (not essential) Industry standard certifications (Cisco, Info COMM, Crestron, Extron, Polycom).

The successful candidate must be able to quickly adapt to fast-paced changing environments, and schedules. They need to carry themselves well and provide a high-class service both personally and technically.

Because this role supports a brand-new client, we are looking for someone flexible who thrives in dynamic environments. You should be proactive about foreseeing and flagging potential challenges; hitting the ground running to add value within 3 to 6 months is critical to our success.
