PHM is a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Northampton, providing audit, accountancy, tax and advisory services to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and not-for-profit organisations across a wide range of sectors.

Due to the continued development of our Audit department, we are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least two years' audit experience within UK practice who is looking to further their career in a supportive and progressive firm. You will work closely with senior members of the Audit team and gain exposure to a broad and interesting portfolio of clients, whilst playing an important role in the future growth of the department.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments.
  • Preparing high-quality audit working papers and documentation.
  • Working directly with clients and their finance teams throughout the audit process.
  • Identifying and resolving audit issues, risks and technical matters as they arise.
  • Supporting the delivery of audits in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Working closely with the Responsible Individual and wider Audit team to ensure the highest standards of client service.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Audit department.

About You

You will:

  • Have a minimum of two years' audit experience within UK accountancy practice.
  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying.
  • Have strong technical and organisational skills.
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Be enthusiastic about developing your career within audit.
