Audit Senior

West Midlands - Hybrid

£33,000 – £45,000 DOE

Then read on... You’ll join an established audit team working across a varied portfolio of UK businesses and group entities. You’ll get involved throughout the audit cycle, work directly with clients and take ownership of your assignments, whilst also gaining exposure to accounts, tax and wider advisory work.

The role

  • Take ownership of your own audit assignments and key areas of larger audits
  • Plan and deliver audit work from initial planning through to completion, including attending client meetings and working on-site where required
  • Work across a varied portfolio, including medium and larger businesses and group entities
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts, including more complex areas and consolidated accounts
  • Build strong relationships with clients, dealing directly with queries and becoming a key point of contact throughout the audit
  • Review work completed by more junior team members and provide support, training and mentoring
  • Get involved in stock takes, audit findings and more complex areas of audit and accounts
  • Prepare tax computations and returns, with some exposure to wider tax and business advisory work
  • Work closely with Managers and Directors, taking on more responsibility as you progress

What they’re looking for

ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification, with previous UK practice audit experience. You’ll need a good grounding in external audit, be comfortable dealing directly with clients and have experience reviewing or supporting more junior members of the team. Experience across accounts preparation and tax would also be useful, as the role offers exposure beyond pure audit.
