Audit Senior

Location: Bristol or Taunton (Hybrid)

Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

An established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding audit team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a broad portfolio of clients while developing your technical expertise, leading assignments and progressing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Based in Bristol or Taunton, you'll work with clients across multiple industries, including owner-managed businesses, large corporate groups, charities and UK subsidiaries of international organisations.

As an Audit Senior, you'll take responsibility for delivering high-quality audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners while supporting the development of junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead and complete statutory audit assignments.
  • Carry out audit testing and review audit files to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Build strong relationships with a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the audit team.
  • Delegate work effectively while providing guidance throughout assignments.
  • Liaise with managers and partners to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with professional and regulatory standards.

About You

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Previous experience in an Audit Senior or similar external audit role within practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Experience coaching or supervising junior team members.
  • A proactive approach with the ambition to continue developing your career.
