Job Title: Senior Auditor, Global Payment Network
Location: London / Nottingham - Hybrid
Working Pattern: 3 days in-office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote.

About the Role

Capital One’s Audit function is a dedicated group of professionals focused on delivering top-quality assurance services to the organisation’s Audit Committee. Audit's vision to provide high value, independent, proactive insights, to innovate with technology, and to be a top-notch talent destination, creates a dynamic atmosphere for both personal growth and professional opportunity.
We’re seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Auditor (ideally fully qualified) interested in becoming part of our UK-based Global Payment Network Audit team. As a member of the Audit team, you’ll focus on conducting operational and compliance-related audits for our Global Payment Network business.
What you’ll do:
- Own completion of components of our payment network audits.
- Help develop engagement planning documentation for assigned areas to communicate rationale for scoping decisions, and help develop audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risks.
- Design and execute appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls. Document auditee processes and procedures, review and analyze evidence, and identify potential issues.
- Leverage available data and analytical tools during the planning and fieldwork phases of audit delivery.
- Prepare clear, organized, and complete documentation to support work performed, including drafting initial findings.
- Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with key business partners and the extended Audit group.
- Effectively communicate information and audit progress to the team and to all levels of management.
- Self prioritise and effectively plan your own work activities managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results. Proactively take on additional work to support the team when possible.
- Proactively seek out learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies related to role.
- Occasional and optional travel to perform audit engagements, flexible to personal circumstances.

The skills and experience you’ll need:
- Experience of either risk assessments or audits in payment networks.
- Proven history of significantly contributing to the delivery of internal or external audit.
- Proven skills in assessing business risks and the ability to identify, design, execute risk-based testing.
- You possess a relentless focus on quality and timeliness.
- You adapt to change, embrace bold ideas, and like to ask questions, test assumptions, and challenge conventional thinking.
- You develop influential relationships based upon shared risk objectives and trust to deliver outstanding business impact and elevate Audit’s value proposition.
- You’re a firm believer that a rich understanding of data, innovation, and technology will only make you a better auditor.

Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham or London office.
We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work-from-home days.
Our offices are designed to inspire and support you. At our Nottingham head office, you'll find an on-site gym, restaurant and dedicated Learning Loft. Our London office boasts a rooftop running track and coffee bar.
