Audit Senior - Corporate Audit

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid Working Available)

The Role

Working as part of a successful audit team in Cardiff, you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion while supporting managers in delivering an outstanding client experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to final completion.
  • Supervising, reviewing and supporting the work of junior team members.
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues to aid their professional development.
  • Building strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio.
  • Identifying key audit risks and ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Managing audit work efficiently to agreed budgets and deadlines.
  • Working both remotely and on client sites using modern audit technology.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • ACA, ACCA or CA qualification, or those nearing completion.
  • Recent external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and within a team.
