Audit Senior
Location: Durham or Newcastle (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits
About the Opportunity
A highly respected, independent accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding North East team. The Role
As an Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, whilst developing strong relationships with clients and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading audit assignments for a varied client portfolio.
- Planning, organising and delivering audit engagements within agreed timescales.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
- Supervising, coaching and supporting junior team members.
- Building strong, long-term client relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and deliver added value.
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on larger and more complex assignments.
- Ensuring work is completed to a consistently high technical standard.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in delivering excellent client service and is keen to continue developing professionally. You'll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or be approaching qualification).
- Previous experience within an audit role in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK audit standards and financial reporting.
- Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
- The ability to mentor and support junior colleagues.
