Senior Automation Engineer
I am looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to help deliver data centre projects for a global leader in data centre automation. The customers are primarily in the Slough area.
📍 Daily presence on customer sites in Slough is required. 📝 Full-time, permanent
This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being on site, leading teams, and taking responsibility for delivering engineering work on time and to a high standard. You’ll join an established (2000+ employees) international automation business, supporting its UK data centre customers and coordinating teams to design and deliver defined scopes of work.

The opportunity
You’ll combine hands-on automation experience with team leadership, keeping delivery organised, motivating engineers, and maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues.
This role suits someone who enjoys the pace of a live project environment, spots problems early, and helps their team move work forward.
I’d like to speak with you if you have:
- Around 5 years’ on-site experience in data centres as an automation engineer
- Experience managing teams to deliver specific scopes of work
- The ability to motivate people and keep a team focused
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- A practical, proactive approach to solving problems

📍 Daily site attendance is essential. The focus is Slough and North West London.
