About the Company
An innovative international technology company is expanding its software engineering team and is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to help build and scale automated testing solutions for complex software platforms. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a highly collaborative engineering environment, contributing to the quality, reliability and scalability of next-generation software systems.
About the Role
You'll play a key role in improving automation frameworks, integrating testing into development workflows, and ensuring software excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable automated test solutions for backend services, APIs and user interfaces.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks that support high-quality software delivery.
- Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA specialists and product teams to define testing strategies.
- Perform manual validation when required and convert test cases into automated suites.
- Investigate, debug and resolve issues affecting automated test execution.
- Improve test coverage, execution speed and overall framework reliability.
- Promote software quality best practices across engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a quality-first development culture.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers on automation methodologies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- At least 7 years of experience in software test automation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience automating backend, API and UI testing.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages:
- Java
- Python
- C#
- Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or similar.
- Previous experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Linux administration or development experience.
- Familiarity with distributed or cloud-native applications.
