About the Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join its team of dedicated automation testers, working across a diverse range of agile projects within sectors including Health, Retail and Finance.
The Test Capability is passionate about “shift left testing”, ensuring testers are involved from day one. The team promotes a test-first approach, including TDD, to identify and resolve issues early and help deliver higher-quality solutions for clients.
The business is also embracing AI to accelerate and improve the way it works, while applying technical expertise and professional judgement to ensure consistently high-quality outcomes.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience designing bespoke Test Strategies to complement technical solutions implemented using cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience building frontend automation frameworks using modern open-source test automation tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
- Experience building backend automation frameworks using tools such as:
- HttpClient, RestSharp or RestAssured (C#)
- RestAssured (Java)
- SuperTest or Jest (JavaScript)
- Experience working in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) project environment and applying a test-first approach to create a shared understanding of requirements, including Shift Left, Example Mapping, BDD and 3 Amigos.
- Experience implementing automated quality checks as part of a Continuous Integration environment, using platforms such as GitHub, Azure DevOps or AWS Pipelines.
- An enthusiasm for leveraging AI technologies to enhance your workflow, accelerate delivery and improve outcomes.

It would also be great if you have experience in some of the following
- Test Consultancy, including working with clients and advising on Agile test strategy and best practices.
- Mentoring junior testers and contributing to a wider test community.
- Non-functional testing, such as:
- Performance Testing — Locust, k6, JMeter
- Accessibility Testing — WCAG 2.2, Axe
- Security Testing — OWASP Top 10, Snyk, Grype
- Data/ETL Testing.
- Using AI within testing, whether through AI-enabled frameworks such as UiPath or Vibium, or coding-focused LLMs such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to accelerate your work.
