Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer
Description
We are hiring for our client, a top manufacturing company based in their new office in Belfast, which produces high-quality automation solutions that impact the execution of real-world machinery and processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a forward-thinking team.

The Role:
- Manage the specification, development, installation, and validation of automation projects within budget and corporate guidelines.
- Develop software for bespoke machines and manufacturing systems using Siemens & Allen Bradley.
- Interact with customers to understand and meet technical requirements.
- Assess existing technologies and processes to enhance performance.
- Design and deliver top-tier automation solutions.
- Provide technical support to operations.
- Collaborate with a team and mentor junior engineers.
- Document projects and manage change control.
- Independently manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Take ownership of projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

The Person:
- Third level qualification in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Preferable experience with Rockwell Studio 5000, FT View, Ignition, Siemens TIA Portal/Step7, OSI PI Historian, VBA.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP is advantageous.
- Cisco Networking qualification and/or VMware or equivalent is a plus.
- Familiarity with robotics and safety standards is a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of automation principles and procedures.
- Ambitious, confident, and professional with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
