We are a well-established, successful and diverse events and media production company based in the beautiful surroundings of Abney Park in Cheadle, South Manchester. We specialise in the production of global events and creating exciting and innovative digital media, primarily within the healthcare industry.
We're now looking for a Senior AV Technician to join one of our busy project teams. This role would suit someone with strong AV experience within the corporate events industry who is comfortable liaising with clients onsite, and helping plan and deliver events end to end.
Events will vary from hybrid meetings, congresses, and smaller-scale recordings, through to exhibition stands with delegate interaction and detailed AV setups. You'll be involved in projects from the early technical planning stages, including interpreting briefs, producing technical specifications and floor plans, liaising with suppliers and freelancers, to managing technical delivery onsite.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the technical planning and delivery of corporate events
- Working from client briefs to help specify AV requirements, equipment, and crew
- Producing floor plans and technical schematics
- Operating confidently on-site across relevant AV disciplines
- Leading or supporting technical crews on-site, including freelancers and third-party suppliers
- Acting as a technical point of contact for clients, venues, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Carrying out site visits
- Supporting smooth on-site delivery and troubleshooting issues

Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following experience:
- Strong technical AV experience gained within corporate events or venue management setting
- Confidence working on-site and dealing directly with clients
- Experience crewing jobs and working with freelancers, suppliers, venues, and other third parties
- Able to spec jobs from the ground up, including AV requirements and crewing requirements
- Experience producing floor plans and other event-related schematics (Vectorworks or similar)
- Operating experience across relevant AV disciplines
- A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach, especially when working on site
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with project managers, producers, and technical colleagues
