Key Responsibilities
- Own the role of responsible engineer for onboard avionics supporting the development of the orbital-class launcher system – SL1
- Lead detailed avionics system design, including definition of interfaces between avionics, ground systems, and other vehicle subsystems, as well as internal avionics and ground-segment interfaces
- Serve as the primary technical interface between project management, systems engineering, avionics, and ground support teams
- Define and manage system budgets, maintain and communicate development schedules, and resource forecasts for avionic systems and related activities
Basic Qualification
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or comparable discipline; degrees in related fields will also be considered
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role, with demonstrated strength in the design, integration, or testing of electronic systems and/or components
- Previous exposure to technical or team leadership tasks
- Strong curiosity and continuous-learning mindset, with a willingness to challenge existing solutions and explore new technical approaches; genuine interest in electronics for space, aerospace, or other high-reliability systems
Desired Experience
- Experience with requirements management and V&V processes is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability of contribution to buy-or-make decisions for electronic hardware and software
- Hands-on experience in embedded systems – via hardware and/or software
- Working experience with at Altium, KiCAD or other comparable ECAD software
- Hands-on experience with sizing, installation and troubleshooting of various electronic components
- Previous experience cooperating across disciplines of e.g. propulsion, fluids, recovery and systems engineering when working on large scale aerospace/space or automotive projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
