Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - Remote, UK

We're looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom in a remote working mode.

In this role, you will design and maintain AWS infrastructure, streamline CI/CD workflows, and implement secure and cost-optimized cloud solutions. You will collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive automation, and enable efficient deployments across complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up Blue-Green deployment for seamless, zero-downtime releases
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, integrating code scanning tools (SAST, DAST)
  • Automate pipelines for deployment using Terraform and AWS services
  • Manage and optimize AWS components including Global Accelerator, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, S3, and Lambda
  • Perform disaster recovery testing and support infrastructure/software upgrades
  • Address cloud compliance issues and maintain security best practices
  • Monitor AWS cost utilization and implement optimization strategies
  • Identify and mitigate technical and capacity risks across systems
  • Build serverless solutions using AWS Lambda functions
  • Collaborate with distributed teams to align technical decisions and delivery goals

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Global Accelerator, Load Balancer, Auto Scaling, S3, and Lambda
  • Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
  • Strong understanding of cloud compliance and security requirements
  • Ability to assess and mitigate technical and capacity-related risks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for direct collaboration with stakeholders
  • Experience driving technical discussions in distributed environments
  • Knowledge of AWS cost management strategies for effective budget control

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with EC2 and tools like Cologuard, CrowdStrike, SonarQube, and SEMGREP
  • Exposure to managed services, KTLO, or L3 support environments
  • Experience implementing application and infrastructure security tools in CI/CD workflows
