Senior AWS Platform Engineer

A public sector organisation is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to join via a Consultancy to join a strategic programme delivering and evolving a cloud-based occupancy data platform hosted within AWS.

The platform ingests and processes data from a range of sources including WiFi networks, IoT sensors and wider property technology systems, generating occupancy insights that support data-driven decision making across a large-scale estate.

As the Senior AWS Platform Engineer you will play a key role in the design, build and support of the cloud infrastructure, integrations and automation capabilities that underpin the platform. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AWS specialist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building cloud-native services and working across platform engineering, DevOps and systems integration.

This is an initial contract until May 2027 with potential to be extended, it is one day per week in the office in Central London with a daily rate of £610 per day Outside IR35. The successful candidate will need to already hold SC clearance and it will need to be transferred to the client.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
